For a first trip to Japan, the answer is often Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka. For travelers returning to Japan, deciding where to go next can be surprisingly difficult. There are many possibilities and many recommendations, and it is easy to end up near the places you already know.
Zentabi is a small discovery step for that moment. It suggests one place in Japan that you might not have chosen yourself, and gives you enough context to decide whether it is worth considering for a future trip.
How it works:
- You choose a direction: nature and scenery, food and local life, culture and history, or slow and relaxed.
- Zentabi selects a prefecture using program logic. You do not choose it, and the AI does not choose it either.
- AI then suggests one specific place in that prefecture and explains why it might be worth a look.
- Zentabi shows practical points, such as how much English you may need, whether a car is helpful, and the biggest downside, so you can judge whether it could work for you.
If you want to look further, you can open the details for the place, which may include places to visit, local food, accommodation ideas, approximate costs, transportation guidance, and a map of what is around it. These details are there to help you decide, not to replace your own trip planning.
Zentabi is meant for repeat visitors who are thinking about what comes after Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. It is not designed as a full trip planner or as a guide for a first visit.
Zentabi is operated by Tetsuya Hinata, a sole proprietor in Japan trading as smart infini.
